Our course of the week is: Funabashi City Sports Park in Funabashi, Chiba, Japan.🇯🇵🎌

⚡️This beautiful Course of the Week was brought to our attention by someone that we consider a friend, @takeshi_shimakage ,who also took all of the photos! Funabashi City Sports Park is Takeshi’s home course, where this promising Japanese up and comer practices the game of disc golf.🥏🥏🥏

You didn’t know that disc golf was thriving in Japan? Well, according to UDisc, “Ranked as the 13th best disc golf country, Japan has 99 courses. Among these are 31 courses which have 18 or more holes. Japan is also home to 6 leagues and 1 store that sells disc golf gear.” This data seems out of date if you look closely at the UDisc map of Japan. It looks like the sport is booming with courses all over the place!🗾

Here is a message from Takeshi:
小さいコースだからこそ初心者から上級者までみんなで楽しめるコース。
どんなコースでも、そこから新たなディスクゴルファーは出てくるから、国土の小さい日本ではこういう小さなコースを大事にしたい!
そして、船橋で生まれて船橋にこのコースがあることに誇りを持ってる!

English
Because it is a small course, everyone from beginners to advanced players can enjoy this course.
On any course, new disc golfers will come out of it, so in Japan which has a small land area, I cherish these small courses!
And I'm proud to be born in Funabashi and have this course in Funabashi!
❤️👍🏼👏
