Our course of the week is back and this week it’s: Algonquin Disc Golf in South River, ON 🍁
Located steps from Algonquin Park in Tom Thomson Park, sits this 18 hole par 54 beauty of a course. 🥏🌳🌲
With the legendary Algonquin park as the backdrop, it is easy to see why famous Canadian group of seven painter Thomson frequented the area often. 👩🎨 🎨 🖌🛶
This course takes advantage of the scenery and landscape with a good mix of open fairways, narrow wooded holes and the iconic hanging basket of hole 4, the “Water Hole”. ⛓💧
☀️ If you play in the summer months, the thick forest/rough can be unforgiving and maybe eat a disc or two so beware! ⚠️
New tee pads are slated to be installed this spring so if you are up in the area you don’t want to miss this one . 🌲🌳🚙💨
